“The woman called me on a Friday afternoon and wanted to know my availability to look at the house that weekend. Fortunately I was able to go out and meet her husband early that Saturday morning. They were in a hurry as they wanted to get this house that their aunt owned sold as quickly as possible. Their request was to get this sold by the following Friday if at all possible. I honestly informed her that we normally are unable to have such a quick turnaround time. It was all contingent on how quickly we could get the title company to turn the paperwork around.

She called me later on Saturday stating that if at all possible they wanted my offer that day. Normally I would have gotten her the offer on Monday, but they were very motivated. I turned around and did my research and got them the offer by 2:30 that Saturday. I called to let her know I had just emailed her the offer only as I did not have enough time to perform the normal seller packet that we present given the quick turnaround time they asked for.

Later that night we actually had a charity bowling event. After the event was over on our way to hang out with several other members of the STL Real Estate team at a restaurant close by, I received a call from the seller stating that they were accepting my offer. Again they wanted to meet with me the following day to go over the contract as they had some questions. We agreed on a time and location.

Sunday we ended up meeting at a Bread Company. I met two of the nieces of the couple that owned the house. They happened to be twins. We spoke at length about the contract and some of the changes that they wanted within the contract. It was during this conversation that they informed me my offer was not the highest. While it was close to the other offers they ended up going with me because we didn’t pressure them and answered every question they had throughout. The contract was signed and initialed by all parties that day.

Later that day I sent the contract to the title company and actually called our closed letting her know we needed to do everything we could to get this house closed by that Friday. After it was all said and done we got the deal closed on that Friday. They needed a little more time to get some belongings out of the house which did not bother us at all.

I was informed that STL Real Estate did not provide the highest offer but they decided to go with us because of our professionalism. We went ahead and completely updated and transformed the house and our contractors did an amazing job all the way around. We were able to provide the family a tour of the newly renovated home once it was completed.
